A neighborhood plan amendment (NPA) allows for changes to be made to an adopted neighborhood plan and/or future land use map (FLUM). A plan amendment is required if a proposed zoning change is inconsistent with the plan’s FLUM. The plan amendment process ensures that stakeholders in the neighborhood and the neighborhood plan contact team will be notified of proposed amendments.

When a proposed plan amendment is submitted, people who live or own property within 500 feet of the property, or are a member of the planning contact team or a member of a registered neighborhood organization or environmental group who requested notification for the area, will be invited to attend a staff-facilitated community meeting to consider the proposal.

Due to the need for social distancing these in-person community meetings have been moved to an online format. This page is intended to host information about upcoming plan amendment meetings.
