    Larry has been in his current role with PARD since January 2020. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa and has lived most of his life in Austin, Texas. Larry’s Father, Nat Williams, was Director of Music at Huston–Tillotson University for 29 years. His Mother, Nancy, taught Speech and Drama at Stephen F. Austin College and the UT. Larry graduated from Austin HIgh and earned a B.A. in Government at the University of Texas at Austin. While employed as a School–Community Liaison Representative working with the Desegregation of the Austin Independent School District Larry worked with Amado Pena at Johnston High School Art Program for two years. For several years he was a contributing artist and Board member at Laguna Gloria Museum. Larry has exhibited with the Art From The Streets Program, the Arts Warehouse, and the East Austin Studio Tour for Several Years.

    First and foremost Larry is a student of cultural  diversity and integrity in art which encompasses an enriched quality of inclusion. In his art, he attempt to depict images which empower, give voice to the individual and the community.

    I started with Austin Parks and Recreation Department in 2018. I love Austin, and all of the great parks and facilities offered in this city. My go-to park is Tom Lasseter South Lamar Neighborhood Park.
