Joint Arts and Music Commission Meeting
The public is invited to attend a joint Arts and Music Commission Meeting at the American Resource Center (8401 Cameron Rd) on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. regarding use of approved bond funds for creative space acquisition and improvements. Community input at this meeting will help the City determine creative space priorities and inform the process that should be considered for any specific project or uses.
The Commissions are asking for input from the community via an online survey that was launched in March and open until May 31, 2019. Survey results will be shared at the meeting, which will also provide an opportunity for citizens to communicate their ideas. Citizens wishing to speak will be asked to direct their comments towards this specific question: “Given the purpose of the bond funds and the parameters relating to the use of these bond funds, what would ‘success’ for the community look like?”
Spanish translators will be provided at the meeting. The City of Austin is Committed to Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Reasonable Modifications and Equal Access to Communications will be provided upon request.
