PUBLIC COMMENTS AT UPCOMING BOARDS AND COMMISSION BRIEFINGS
The Housing and Planning Department will present the draft ETOD Policy Plan to various City of Austin Boards and Commissions during November and December before bringing the item to City Council for approval. Participants can sign up to speak publicly on the ETOD Policy Plan at any of these meetings. All participants wishing to speak on an item must register according to the procedures of the specific board or commission. ETOD staff will include comments made during these public meetings alongside other feedback gathered on the draft Policy Plan and present all the feedback to Council for their consideration.
Joint Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee
Commission Action: None. Questions from Council members with responses from staff. No recommendation on the draft ETOD Policy Plan.

Early Childhood Council
Commission Action: Working group formed to make suggestions for changes to the draft ETOD Policy Plan.
City Staff Action: Review suggested changes from working group to consider recommending any changes.
Next Steps: Commission’s suggested changes will be presented as agenda backup for City Council action on December 8th, including where staff supports the recommended change be incorporated.

Registration for participation at City Council meetings is different from Boards and Commissions. Public comment on agenda items is allowed both in-person and remotely (by telephone). Speakers may only register to speak on an item once, either in-person or remotely.
Online Registration for In-Person and Remote Speakers: Speakers must submit the online registration form in advance. When sign-up is open, the online form can be found here: Online Speaker Signup Form
The online registration period will open at 10:00am on the Monday before the meeting and close at 12:00pm the day before the meeting.
In-Person Speakers only: Speakers can register using the City Hall atrium kiosks shortly after 12:00pm the day before the meeting until 45 minutes before the meeting is scheduled to begin.
