Why is a contractor registration program being considered?

    The contractor registration program is a suggested solution from past reports and stakeholder engagements. The 2017 report “Expired Permits and Work Without a Permit” and the 2018 Demolition Permit Process Final Report both identify the creation of a contractor registration program to mitigate expired permits and demolition shortcomings.


    Who will be impacted by this change?

    All individuals who pull building and demolition permits, for both residential and commercial projects, stand to be impacted by this change. Building permits include all plumbing, electrical, and mechanical permits.
